Safe
Tromsøbadet is committed to providing a safe environment for guests. We work systematically to reduce risks and prevent accidents and injuries affecting guests, employees, buildings and equipment. Our approach includes risk assessments, training, skills development, good leadership and clear health and safety routines.
Attractive
Tromsøbadet aims to be an attractive meeting place for residents and visitors. We offer varied activities and services and aim for the highest customer satisfaction among Norway’s swimming facilities. We work to improve the facility and our activities so that guests want to return and recommend us. We also aim to be an attractive employer with good working conditions and support for employee wellbeing.
Inclusive
Tromsøbadet aims to be inclusive, accessible and diverse, so that people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities feel welcome. We want to support health and wellbeing, strengthen community connections and create a meeting place where people can engage with and learn from one another.
How will Tromsøbadet support safety??
- Our goal is zero injuries resulting in permanent disability or death.
- We will provide annual skills development in emergency preparedness and maintenance.
- We use incident reporting and follow-up to support a preventive safety culture.
How will Tromsøbadet become and remain attractive??
- We work to ensure that our employees feel valued and supported.
- Our target is 350,000 annual visits by 2027.
- We aim to complete at least one major facility improvement project each year.
- We aim to achieve an overall NPS of at least 49% in the annual customer satisfaction survey.
How will Tromsøbadet be inclusive??
- We aim to hold at least one annual event promoting inclusion and diversity.
- We will support the growth of competitive swimming by providing suitable facilities.
- We will run two water-safety campaigns each year for different age groups.
- We will assess accessibility annually and take steps to improve universal access at Tromsøbadet.

We want all our guests to enjoy a safe, clean and pleasant visit. Our shared rules help us achieve this.
Emergency preparedness at Tromsøbadet
On 25 February 2025, Tromsøbadet held an emergency preparedness day, including a rescue exercise with the Tromsø Ambulance Service. The exercise provided valuable lessons for our lifeguards and the ambulance personnel involved.
